Transport Compliance Administrator: Galway. Legal compliance is monitored and controlled by the Transport Compliance Administrator. You will be responsible for organising and monitoring driver, vehicle and maintenance compliance systems. Responsibilities. As Transport Compliance Administrator (TCA) you will be responsible for monitoring and organising of Drivers Hours and Working Time of all drivers and crew. This includes the scheduling of driver card and vehicle downloads, carrying out frequent driver's hours' analysis and infringement checks and providing feedback to the crews and reports to management. Checking driver/vehicle rosters and notifying schedulers of potential compliance issues. Ensure that the system records are maintained and fully inclusive of all active company drivers and vehicles. Reviewing all driving hours, break and rest periods on a weekly basis. Monitor and maintain training/qualifications records to ensure all drivers/crew, are adequately qualified/trained for the work they carry out. As TCA you will be responsible for training staff and drivers on driver's hours and the use of digital tachographs and cards. The TCA will also train transport staff and others on using the Compliance software system. The TCA liaises with compliance system service technicians to ensure that these systems are maintained in peak operating condition. Ensuring that all firmware updates are applied promptly and any changes in the operation/interface are communicated to other users. Provide monthly reports on tachograph/driver's hours compliance to the transport manager. The TCA will meet with Enforcement Officers, provide downloaded driver and vehicle files, evidence of compliance and any other data required by inspectors. The TCA is responsible for collecting and entering essential data on all vehicles; trucks, vans, bin lifters and civil plant owned onto compliance system. Maintains asset information by uploading scanned hardcopy documents; vehicle registration, CVRT, service documents etc. onto compliance system. Creates annual/monthly vehicle maintenance schedules for all vehicles and plant and equipment. Liaise with the transport manager, workshop managers, mechanics and others to schedule vehicle maintenance requirements. Monitor and update compliance with schedule. Liaise with the Stores and Workshop Managers on the entry of vehicle and plant parts, materials and equipment onto compliance system. Enter all parts and labour pricing parameters onto AM. Organise AM vendor management system, meet with and train vendors on using AM. Assist staff in workshops with creating job-cards and entering data to determine individual/fleet vehicle and plant costs. Provide cost and utilisation reports on vehicles and plant on a scheduled basis. Requirements. Degree level in transport or administration. Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport - Diploma in Logistics, (Desired but not essential. Previous experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems and driver's hours analysis software is an advantage. Note that a high degree of flexibility is required and there may be a requirement for some overnight visits. Several years administration experience. Strong organisational skills and a proven ability to work to deadlines. Proficient in MS packages e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint portals.
