A Senior Supplier Quality Engineer on a 12 Month Contract required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based client. THE ROLE: *Reporting to the Supplier Quality Engineering Manager, key responsibilities of the role include: *Supporting supplier sourcing teams in the evaluation and selection of global best-in-class third party suppliers. *Communicating quality expectations to suppliers and partnering effectively with them to develop quality systems, processes and controls to fulfil these expectations. *Engaging with suppliers to execute process qualification plans and reports to assure components and materials. *Leading global supplier quality system audits, ensuring timely and appropriate action is taken. *Assessment of supplier processes for optimum output, process stability and controls, identifying and implementing strategies for continual quality improvement and control. REQUIREMENTS: *A Level 8 NFQ Bachelor?s degree in a relevant technical discipline (i.e.: Engineering, Materials, Science. *A minimum of 5 years working experience, preferably within the medical device or related industry. *Previous supplier engineering experience is advantageous. *Knowledge of applicable GMP, FDA and ISO regulations and of other appropriate guidance documents / standards. *To have attained Certified Lead Auditor status would be an advantage.
