As Controls/automation Engineer you will be responsible for the specification and design of control systems for manufacturing equipment in the medical device industry taking into consideration schedule and budget. Your Responsibilities: Developing a detailed understanding of all of the different automation systems including distributed control systems, programmable logic controllers including SLC 500, Micrologics, Logix 5000. You will be responsible for the specification and design of control systems for manufacturing equipment taking into consideration schedule and budget for Software and Hardware development. Develop Point Database/ Control Modules / Graphic User Interface. Implementation code changes to the automation systems under change control. Traceability of products, knowledge of recipes. Documentation of all software developed to most recent GAMP standards. Development of SCADA / Operator interfaces for manufacturing equipment. Requirements: You will have a NCEA Certificate or Diploma / Degree in software / Automation Engineering and at least 5 years’ experience ideally in the medical device industry. A strong knowledge of RSlogix 5000 and previous experience in PLC controlled equipment, PC Controlled equipment, Database. Knowledge of Visual Basic & VB.net. Ideally have experience with software Validation and familiar with GAMP. You will have experience documenting work procedures in compliance to all ISO9001 and current GMP procedures and practices.
