Software Engineer with C/++ & Qt experience required for permanent role in Galway. Responsibilties: Development of additional feature set to support upcoming new technologies and products. Support on solutions to optimise runtime and speed of such tools. Improve the user interface. Synchronisation and alignment with other development teams. Complete scheduled tasks within assigned projects to deliver software development output to the project team as per agreed timing plan. Contribute to routine software design reviews, peer code reviews, problem resolution and software test activities. Comply with company Software Quality processes, ISO15504 and contribute to Process Improvement activities as required. Work innovatively and creatively within the group with a particular focus on protecting innovation and IP through the patent process. Requirements: Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics or equivalent. Excellent knowledge of object-oriented software development using C/ ++ Knowledge of Qt framework. Knowledge of Design Patterns for ++ Knowledge of communication buses (CAN, Ethernet. Knowledge of software development cycles. Desirable: Knowledge of OpenGL. Knowledge of HIL (hardware in the loop) and SIL ( Software in the loop) concepts. Basic Knowledge of ADTF. Knowledge of script languages (Python, Perl. Knowledge of decentralized versioning System (Git or Mercurial. Knowledge of Doors and Enterprise architect.
