Electronic Design Engineerrequired for permanent role in Galway. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop both hardware and firmware. Debug, verification and validation of design. Document design progress and activity. Ability to work as an excellent team player is essential. Maintain awareness of standards that regulate power electronics industry. Liaise with external vendors to ensure that bought-in components or services are as required. Requirements: Third level qualification in Electronic Engineering or relevant combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Power Electronics or related field. Less experience may be appropriate with an advanced degree. Relevant experience in power system: AC-DC and DC-DC. Extended design experience in both analog and digital electronics. Experience in Reverse engineering in power electronics . Embedded programming experience in C or ++. Experience in PCB design , preferable Altium Designer. Familiarity with popular interfaces: CAN, RS232, RS422, I2C & SPI. Circuit simulation experience. Attention to detail. Strong communication and writing skills.
