The Role: The Service Coordinator will lead and develop the day and residential staff teams to ensure the. development of person centred services for each Service Programme Area. The successful. candidate will facilitate and co-ordinate the implementation and ongoing review/development of. the programme. The Service Coordinator will work closely with the Area Manager and will also. ensure that all services are delivered in an efficient and effective manner within budget, and be a. proactive member of the local services team. The Service Coordinator supports the role of Area. Manager and the Team Leaders within the Service Programme. The roles of PIC and PPIM are also key elements of the post in line with HIQA. Reporting/ Responsible to: Area Manager. Qualifications/Experience. A relevant Health Sector Qualification e.g. Nursing, Social Care, Psychology or Social Work with a minimum of 3 years postgraduate relevant experience along with certified management training. Proven operational experience is essential. Experience of working in the area of intellectual disability is essential. A full clean driving license is also an essential requirement of this post. Candidates must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills so as to. effectively share expertise with others in a timely manner. It is essential that the selected. candidate work effectively within a dynamic team environment using a person-centred. philosophy. Our Services are undergoing ongoing transformation to address the changing needs of. service users and therefore it is essential that a flexible attitude to changing environments and. work requirements is held by the successful candidate. Working Hours: 39 hours per week based on a 7 day duty roster including rostered weekends. Contracted hours. of work are liable to change between the hours of 8am – 8pm over seven days to meet the. requirements of the programme. An on-call commitment is an essential requirement of this post. The successful candidate will be. required to work the agreed roster/on call arrangements as advised by their manager. The Brothers of Charity model of service is based on Personal Outcome Measures requiring. employees to be flexible in their working hours to provide a quality service delivery for each. individual. Annual Leave: 25 days per annum. Remuneration: €47,089 x 8 increments - €55,852 per annum. Tenure: This post is permanent, full time and pensionable.
