Our client, a major Medical Device Manufacturer in Galway, has a vacancy for a Finance Accountant. This is a permanent full-time role and will suit a recently qualified accountant with 2-3 years post qualification experience, wishing to move into a complex, fast moving and constantly changing multinational manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Lead the planning and organization of the external audit including preparation of financial statements. Complete reconciliations and maintenance for several key balance sheet accounts. Manage all intercompany payable accounts, including approval and coding of invoices and confirmation of all intercompany balances. Provide financial data to transfer pricing group to assist compilation of Cost Share Agreement adjustments and Transfer Price Adjustments. Prepare the corporation tax calculation and be the primary contact for liaising with the tax consultants and corporate tax to ensure the group derives maximum benefit from the Irish operations. Key Requirements: Recently qualified accountant with 2-3 years’ post qualification experience. Dynamic team player that can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams. Experienced with effectively interacting with various levels and functions within the organization, must be technically strong and willing to come up to speed quickly. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) is a requirement. Oracle JD Edwards & ERP LX system knowledge are desirable.
