What you need to know. Matrix Recruitment is currently recruiting a Cost Accountant for Medical Device Manufacturing company in Galway City. This a permanent position and you will report to the Financial Controller. As a Cost Accountant you will be responsible for performing cost analyses & managing cost information to maximize profitability for the company. The position will include the following responsibilities. New Product Costing. Assist with the preparation of annual budget and forecasts. Ability to combine different data, calculate profit margins, create details & accurate reporting. Present cost-effective solutions for the company. Review & maintenance of stand costing, BOMs & related costing processes. Support managers in understanding costs & driving improvement in margins. Analysis of actual costs v’s budget & prepare monthly reports comparing standard costs to actual. Investigate variance in the gross margin & line profitability analysis. Reporting on overheads & Methods of allocation. Produce various management reports to deadlines. Requirements: Qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACA/CPA with a minimum of 5 years relevant costing experience. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Experience with excel and ERP systems , Lean Systems advantageous. Ability to work within a team and on own initiative. Excellent numerical & analytical skills with strong cost systems experience.
