If you are a qualified accountant then we would like to hear from you! Our client has an excellent opportunity for a GL Accountant (12-month fixed-term) within their accounting function in Galway. This is a role for a candidate keen to take on more responsibility while developing and learning new skills. Experience working within a multinational environment is preferable but not essential. What you will be doing: Posting, management and review of month end close and accounting transactions with an ability to work quickly and accurately. Ensuring financial records comply with GAAP. Maintaining appropriate internal controls and upholds company policies & procedures. Maintaining ledger integrity and ensuring financial compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Interaction with auditors and supporting audits. Contributing towards process improvements. Coaching junior colleagues and supporting development plans. What you will have: Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA. Third level degree or equivalent. At least one year’s relevant experience. Strong knowledge of SAP/Oracle or equivalent essential. Fluency in a second European Language desirable.
