The Job Suite are currently seeking an experienced Grocery Store Manager for our client a Retail Group in Galway. We are looking for a candidate with proven track record in grocery management. Job Description. Manage the day-to-day operations of the store. Drive sales in all departments of the store. Give clear direction to department managers and drive productivity in all departments. Engage positively with staff of all levels and ensure the store has good staff morale. Liaise with junior managers regarding HR issues i.e. Staff grievances , probation management. Ensure customer service levels are at a high standard at all times. Liaise regularly with head office regarding operations, sales and deliveries. Set and manage targets for each department to achieve maximum sales. Monitor staff rotas to ensure the necessary staff are in place to maintain operations standards but also ensure that the cost of labour is in line with requirements. Ensure Health and Safety ,Haccp and all other compliance issues are up to date and recorded correctly. Oversee the procedure of regular stock takes and conduct audits to ensure unnecessary losses are been made. Ideal Candidate. You must be energetic and highly motivated. Excellent work ethic and influence positively by leading by example. Retail Management experience within a fast paced supermarket or convenience background. Ability to engage with customers. Excellent leadership skills and ability to motivate your team. Excellent understanding of retail and business acumen to achieve results. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
