THis role involvesmanaging production planning and supervision. This role also needs to manage the clients expectations on why orders are not being met and realising the consequences. Need to have a commercial awareness. The role encompasses inventory control, stock management. There will also be 19 people that you will need to supervise. The Manufacturing Supervisor will have the overall responsibility and accountability for managing one or more departments to ensure successful delivery within the eSupply Chain functions. The role will be responsible for ensuring team adherence to policies, procedures and work schedules. The Manufacturing Supervisor is required to create and maintain a positive working environment which maximises the contribution and performance of the teams. The Manufacturing Supervisor will report directly to the Client Relationship Manager and report progress to the onsite Client Managers and act as a point of escalation for any production issues. Duties & Responsibilities include: Leadership and Team Management. Manage production and production support teams on a day-to-day basis. Take ownership to achieve targets and monitor workload versus workforce. Take full accountability for service delivery. Ensure resources are allocated & utilised to consistently deliver on the SLA/KPI’s while meeting productivity measures. Ensure compliance to regulatory standards and company policies and procedures. Point of contact for designated teams’ deliverables. Build loyalty within the team that will directly impact performance and productivity improvements. Act as a mentor, take full accountability for identifying & monitoring individual development needs & performance management. i.e. Monthly one to one’s, annual appraisals & individual training needs. Provide constructive feedback in a timely manner. Manage time and attendance and liaise with HR/Payroll when necessary. Commercial awareness. Have a strong interest in the business and an understanding of the environment in which the organization operates i.e. internal clients, account managers & their customers. Understand the business benefits and commercial realities from both the client’s and CPL’s perspective. Be aware of the need for efficiencies & cost effectiveness in terms of managing workload versus workforce, product and inventory management. Manage customer orders and ensure they are shipped on time. Reporting & Planning. Use existing tools for day to day scheduling and reporting. Provide updates on daily and weekly issues both positive & negative. Work closely with the Planner, Plant Manager and other Leadership groups to assist weekly & future forecasts and work schedules. Provide high level reports to Plant and Client management. Create, produce and analyse standard reports for designated teams activities. Provide metrics/reports on ad-hoc basis as needed. Accountable for SLA/KPI’s delivery and provide analysis when missed. Relationship Management. Build effective relationship’s with Planners, Client managers, HR and Payroll departments. Work closely with the planner to agree work schedules. Report on progress on on-going basis i.e. provide daily & weekly reports. Act as point of escalations for any client issues. Act as a member of the management team, inputting into strategic and long term planning. Procurement. Provide weekly procurement & production reports to various departments. Inventory management i.e. cycle counts & customer returns process. Training. Accountable that all department training plans are updated and rolled out appropriately and tracked. Other. Own and drive a quality culture and housekeeping standards. Identifying potential efficiency gains and implementing the activity required to deliver against this. Develop and rollout initiatives that positively impact operational efficiency. Host and attend all necessary meetings. Ensure costs are tightly managed while delivering optimal customer service levels. Work with the support functions to drive Quality, Training/Process, HR, Recruitment and reporting activities. Documentation of processes and procedure. Provide support in preparation for ongoing management reviews. Provide backup support within the Senior Lead team in line with business needs. Essential Competencies: Knowledge: Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes - end to end would be desirable. Knowledge of Supply Chain processes. Understanding of manufacturing metrics and targets. Leadership: Confidence in one’s own ability. Confidence to build effective relationships with core team and direct them as appropriate. Empower & ensure people are accountable for their actions or inactions. Proven track record of leading by example & setting behavioural expectations.
