DESCRIPTION. We are recruiting healthcare assistants for work in nursing homes, rehabilitation centres, and hospitals in Galway, Mayo and surrounding areas. If you are looking for flexible hours and/or additional shifts, please apply with your CV. This is temporary work, with the potential for full-time hours. Work is based in a variety of nursing homes and hospitals. All candidates must have completed the following training courses in addition to the full FETAC 5 award (8 successfully completed modules in Healthcare Support or Nursing Studies) outlined above: Patient Moving and Handling. CPR. Infection Prevention and Control. Recognising and Responding to Elder Abuse. Management of Actual or Potential Aggression (M.A.P.A. Fire Safety. These must have been completed within the last 18 months. Training can also be organised after interview if certificates have expired. Candidates must also have been vaccinated for Hepatitis B.
