Food & Beverage Supervisor for a 4 star hotel complex in County Galway. This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate who will have a genuine passion for the industry and possess the desire to work well within a close team whilst maintaining a supervisory role. As a part of the Food and Beverage team you will be reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, friendly and highly motivated individuals who are excellent at working in a team and under pressure, have a proactive approach to achieving targets and are genuinely interested in delighting each and every guest with exceptional customer service standards. Primary Position Responsibilities: To ensure that the highest standards of service are provided within the department at all times. To ensure that wait staff are carrying out their duties accordingly and effectively. To supervise the smooth running of dinner/lunch/breakfast service. To ensure that customers complaints / compliments are recorded and dealt with efficiently and effectively. To ensure that SOP's are followed by staff. To communicate and work effectively with the Food and Beverage Manager as well as the Head Chef. To ensure that presenting to work wearing the relevant uniform provided to the highest standard of personal hygiene and appearance. To ensure restaurant and bar is prepared for meal service daily. To ensure Service Goals are implemented and followed at all times. To have a knowledge on all menu items and wines and their accompaniments. To ensure that cleaning duties are carried out on a daily basis (to the Service Goals. To ensure that all hot food and drinks are served promptly and as described on the menu. To operate and ensure that machinery is operated with due care and attention ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards. To serve all customers in a manner befitting the hotel. Account for sales of all items by ringing up cash / charges on the appointed till and ensure that charges are given to reception. To ensure that house policies regarding cash handling, stock, charging drinks and lost property are complied with at all times. To ensure that all-reasonable care is taken for the health and safety of yourself, other employees, guests and any other persons on the premises. To communicate hotel services to guests. To carry out such other duties as required or as directed by management. To suggest and be part of improvement ideas. Skills & Experience Required: Previous experience in a similar role is required and further training will be given on site. A good knowledge of spoken English.
