What you need to know. Matrix Recruitment is working closely with one of our leading pharmaceutical Companies in Galway in the recruitment of a permanent Environmental Health and Safety Manager. Your new job. Plan, develop and implement robust EHS programs. Manage the development and execution of comprehensive strategies. Provide technical advice for the organisation with regards to all EHS matters. Lead the investigation process for EHS incidents ensuring the root cause is always identified. Manage the site risk assessment program ensuring EHS hazards are identified and assessed for all activities and tasks conducted on site. Liaise with EHS regulatory agencies and identify and manage all EHS legal requirements to ensure compliance to same. Monitor EHS budgets for both operational & capital expenditure. Evaluate requirements for new projects. Ad hoc duties as required. What are we looking for? A 3rd level professional Health & Safety/Environmental qualification. 5 years’ experience in a similar role of Health & Safety within a pharmaceutical industry. Ability to manage and lead a team in a manufacturing & site environment. Excellent and proven IT skills. Must have excellent organisational and management skills. Strong attention to detail with structured approach to planning & organising. Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise work as required.
