Galway University Hospitals (GUH)

Galway University Hospitals (GUH), comprising of University Hospital Galway (UHG) and Merlin Park University Hospital (MPUH), provide a comprehensive range of services to emergency and elective patients on an inpatient, outpatient and day care basis across the two sites. UHG and MPUH together employ approximately 3,000 whole time equivalent staff. It is a designated supra regional centre, serves a catchment area in the region of one million people from Donegal to Tipperary North. HSE - West accounts for almost one quarter of the Irish population and Galway accounts for a quarter of this. Galway University Hospitals also has strong links with the National University of Ireland, Galway, (NUIG) for the training of medical, nursing and other health professionals and is the site for extensive academic training and research

Requirements:

• At least 6 months experience in an Acute Hospital

• Applicants must have the right to work in Ireland

  Benefits for nurses are as follows;

• Salary: as per HSE scale commencing at €27,483– €43,800 per annum increases depending on years of experience

• to €1500 relocation expenses reimbursed*

• Up to €495 NMBI registration costs reimbursed*

• Additional pay for shift differentials

• Permanent, full-time pensionable contracts

• 24 days Annual Leave plus 9 Public Holidays

• 39 Hours per week
