An Embedded Software Engineer is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Galway based Med-tech client. A Level 8 Degree and at least 7 years experience is a prerequisite for this role. Accountabilities include supporting the development products and be responsible for generating new and innovative ideas and turning them into real products, while the role encompasses all aspects of System Development Life Cycle and working with cross functional teams within R&D. THE ROLE:
* Development of software requirement specifications
* Software architecture design, coding & unit testing
* Generation & maintenance of QA documentation related to software design control
* Prepare reports & other documents to support regulatory approval
* Provide mentoring & technical direction to team members.

REQUIREMENTS:
* Honours Degree in Electronic/Software Engineering
* 7 years & experience in a similar role
* Software Design for Embedded Systems using UML, coding using C language
* Understanding of design patterns, OOPs concepts, various software architectures
* Strong knowledge of Analogue Design e.g. op-amps, discrete transistor circuits, DAC and ADC circuits.
* Knowledge of Digital Circuits including Microprocessors
* Experience in using Embedded system communication protocols (e.g. Bluetooth, USB etc. is an advantage
* Familiarity with various software architectures, 32 bit controllers
