Job Title IT Business Analyst
Description

Key Responsibilities

Report Writing

  • Developing and maintaining reports, using Business Objects

  • Timely production and distribution of reports extracted from all systems, with close attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Contribute to new business reporting requirements, report transformation and system integration projects as they arise
  • To support and administrate designated applications as required by IT and Site Management
Implementation & Support

  • Provide full implementation support across complex projects and issues through testing, training, go live planning , on-going support & issue resolution
  • Manage resolution and feedback during priority incidents
  • Provide documentation to support implementations
  • Provide customer support services across multiple environments
  • Provide support services to other business teams when required

Problem Solving

  • Root Cause Analysis. Establish common system/data issues and root cause. Own corrective action plan to ensure root causes are eliminated
  • Gather relevant information about issues

  • Analyse issues, replicate within test environment

  • Seek expert input where appropriate to resolve

  • Consider short term workarounds where appropriate

  • Raise and manage development tasks as needed

  • Test & deliver software fixes

  • Share, promote knowledge between colleagues and other teams

Key Competencies and Experience

  • IT Graduate

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a progressive IT environment

  • Be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a flexibility of approach to deal with a dynamic business environment.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

  • Experience of working across a multi-disciplinary team

  • Recognise & resolve priority issues effectively

  • Understands core business processes in relation to software modules

  • Achieves delivery deadlines

  • Ability to manage problems through to conclusion

  • Seeks to improve internal processes

  • Commercially alert

  • Quick learner

  • Effective decision maker

  • Organised and results orientated

  • Experience with Microsoft technologies such as Business Objects/Windows OS and desktops.

  • Creative and effective problem solving skills

  • Flexibility in working hours
