Our client has an excellent opportunity for a GL Accountant (12-month fixed-term) within their accounting function in Galway.

This is a role for a candidate keen to take on more responsibility while developing and learning new skills.

Experience working within a multinational environment is preferable but not essential.

What you will be doing:

• Posting, management and review of month end close and accounting transactions with an ability to work quickly and accurately.
• Ensuring financial records comply with GAAP.
• Maintaining appropriate internal controls and upholds company policies & procedures.
• Maintaining ledger integrity and ensuring financial compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
• Interaction with auditors and supporting audits.
• Contributing towards process improvements.
• Coaching junior colleagues and supporting development plans.

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
• Third level degree or equivalent.
• At least one year’s relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of SAP/Oracle or equivalent essential.
• Fluency in a second European Language desirable.
