Indirect Purchasing Buyer - County Galway. The role: To improve site competitiveness through indirect materials cost reductions in line with Internal Customer (operations) requirements and "Indirect Segment Strategies". Responsibilities; • Monitor supplier relationship in line with QCD Target set by Non-Production Purchasing Network and in accordance with compliance and ethical rules of the Group. • Propose and implement productivity actions in collaboration with the "Segment Organisation". • Maintain supplier panel and ensure supplier information recorded in the systems is updated and accurate. • Perform RFQ, negotiation and ordering process in compliance with instructions and procedures set, within e-procurement system. • Make extensive usage of e-auctions. • Solve daily operational issues to answer internal customer need, and liaise/escalate when needed to the appropriate contact. • Support and enforce dematerialisation process. • Develop and support usage of on line catalogs where appropriate. Qualifications and Experience Sought: • Qualification in Purchasing. • Engineering background an advantage. • At least 2-3 years' experience in Non-Production purchasing. • Good networking skills. • Able to work on own initiative. • Financial awareness.
