Director of Enterprise and Employment. Údarás na Gaeltachta is the regional authority responsible for the economic, social and cultural development of the Gaeltacht. The overall objective of Údarás na Gaeltachta is to ensure that Irish remains the main communal language of the Gaeltacht and is passed on to future generations. Údarás na Gaeltachta headquarters is located in na Forbacha, Co Galway with regional offices in Cork, Kerry, Donegal and Mayo. Irish is the working language of An tUdarás. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Enterprise and Employment will lead the implementation of the enterprise development policies and strategies. The Director of Enterprise & Employment will be responsible for delivering job creation in the Gaeltacht regions, through attracting further investment and encouraging existing companies to expand and innovate. The successful person will also be responsible for the management of a substantial commercial property portfolio for development of a range of natural resource sectors across the Gaeltacht regions.
