Software Engineer Data. Leading Fintech company are recruiting for aSoftware Engineer to be part of an exciting engagement in their Brokerage Technology (FBT) group. You will join a BI team that is responsible for developing solutions for our brokerage and investment advisor clients. While the team uses a variety of technologies, we are seeking a database engineer with Oracle PL-SQL and UNIX scripting skills, and who is also interested in learning new technologies (Hadoop, Hive, Sqoop, Spark, ). What we are looking for: BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent. 3+ years experience in a data-centric development environment. Oracle PL/SQL and UNIX scripting experience, and ETL processing experience an advantage. An engineer who is eager to learn new technologies, e.g. emerging big data technologies. Your new team is currently engaged on a multi-year strategy to design and deliver a range of new functionality for our business partners and clients. Your role is a key contributor to in all facets of the delivery process aligned to this strategy. Hands on technical role on medium to large projects. The Skills You Bring. A full understanding of the software development process. Designing and developing high quality, simple, maintainable software solutions. Complying with and helping to improve engineering, architectural and coding standards. Server: Java, Spring, Micro-Services Architecture, Docker, UNIX, Gradle, Maven.
