My client, an expanding medical device company, is looking for an R&D Technician to join their team. This is a permanent position, based in Galway. The R&D Technician works as part of the R&D team tasked with supporting the development and processes for projects under development. Responsibilities. Ensure R&D area meets regulatory compliance and is audit ready at all times in terms of GMP and GDP. Support the R&D Engineers in the development of products. Generate test data and technical documentation to support ongoing development work. Assist on troubleshooting technical process and product issues. Provide daily support in the R&D area in the set up and development of processes and products. Develop a good level of understanding of applicable regulations including EU and FDA regulations. Qualifications. 2+ years’ experience in a medical device or other similar organization. Demonstrated strong ability in technical problem solving, determining root cause and implementing temporary and long term solutions. Continually learning and exploring more efficient methods to perform duties. Capacity to make decisions in conjunction with others while learning from mistakes. A good knowledge of the regulatory environment in which the business operated. Capacity to maintain confidentiality internally and externally. Ability to work on his/her own initiative.
