What you need to know. You will work as an Engineering Supervisor and will work for our medical device client based in Galway. This is a permanent position with excellent opportunities for career progression within a large medical devices company. You will work in the Research and Development Department on the development of cutting edge medical devices in the Cardiac and Vascular space. You will be directly involved in the leadership and direction of a small R&D team and the implementation of R&D activities supporting the Structural heart business unit. Your new job. Key duties & responsibilities. Lead and grow a highly talent team responsible for Delivery Systems to support Structural heart product lines. Drive innovation of Delivery systems concepts to support next-generation designs and novel applications in other cardiovascular applications. Partner with internal and external experts to strengthen technical expertise. Manage a team of experienced engineers involved in an array of product development and technology exploration projects. Contribute to project decision making involved in product development and technology explorations projects. Generate novel and unique solutions to both engineering and organisational challenges. What are we looking for? Desirable: BEng in Science/Engineering or related discipline. 3-5 years’ experience ideally within the medical device sector. Team player and can work effectively on cross functional teams. Excellent team building, communication, people management and leadership skills are desirable.
